I joined Da as www.gorgorito.deviantart.com long time ago. I started posting drawings, pin-ups, then some color attempts and last year I decided to turn myself an inker. Yeah, an inker, a comic book inker.

I'm totally on this inking thing. I have been drawing almost my entire life but I always felt an special love for ink, love for how ink can increase the visual experience and how hard is to master it's technique which such less tools.

Now I'm upgrading my skills. My point of start is to look Joe Weems work, Scott Williams work, Jim Lee's, Marc Silvestri's, Rich Friend's, Gabriel Rodriguez and many other's work in order to start finding my own way. And for me to focus on this purpose I must start over with another page, just inking oriented. Just only inking stuff. No more color, no more lineart (only if it is necessary), just inks.

The pin-ups, color, lineart, et ailii I'll be keeping uploading on this page. So I encourage everyone to take a look on my new Deviant Art Inking Portfolio:

:icondocolomansky:

Focusing is the real deal and, despite becoming a comic inker is such a risky carreer move, is what my guts urges me to do.

I'm accepting comissions, some colaborations (depending on my schedule), and of course, paid jobs.

Bests and please, enjoy and feel free to put some comments over my work.

PS: Thanks to many many friends whom all over this past two years have helped me find the focus on this starting new carreer.

I'd like to knowwho was my 10.000th visitor, and thank him for being able to bring me such a pleasure.

Since I started long years ago I felt like having such numbers of pageviews would become an impossible endeavour. However, since I got clear in my mind that what I want is to ink comic books, my numbers started to grow and that felt awesome.

Nothing feels better than having the idea that somewhere there are people that understands your part and your effort. Most of the better and fav pieces are someone's famous pencils, but having - or at least trying to have - the energy, desire, love to achieve a great semipro finished art helps me grow as an artist and I'm eager to have my schedule done and start doing pro stuff. 2010 has turned as my best year ever, I went back to Spain, my home country, interviewed many well-known faces for my blog (www.doscafesyunamesa.com), got to know my all-time fav artist :iconjimlee00:, got to be able to publish my fist inked page as an fill-in... pure cool things contrasted with how bad things have happened in Chile.

I know next year things would go even better, and I can't wait to keep having my splattered by ink dirty hands filthy enough to keep posting work after work here.

So, my purest desire is to keep growing as an artist as an inker. Please stay tuned!

Thanks!

Dear All:

Since I have experienced an increase on my visits I can only thank to everyone that has reached this site. I'm feeling after all that I'm not the better artist, but I'm also not the worst, so it keeps me quite happy.

however, since I'm not a full-time artist and I have bills to pay, a home to grow and a job to do (Figure this out: Monday, it's 9.30 PM and still i'm at the office), this "normal regula job" life keeps me on and on out from spending the time i'd like to draw and increase my abilities.

I ask for apologies to you all, but believe me that I do what I can to update my comic book schedule, my blog (along with my partner avasallador.deviantart.com), and my little carreer as a drawing artist.

I lasted 2 years to reach the 2000th pageview and in a couple of months I'm hitting the 2500th so This looks great!

Thanks to'ya all!

Hey! Thanks to you all for this day becoming my 2000th pageviews!!!

I joined DA on 2007 and I thought I would make it faster. However, it took more than a year to accomplish this goal so it made me think that nothing here is for free (besides joining) and I have to work hard in order to improve and get my work seen- I have learned a huge lot during this period of time and known a lot of great artists around here. (I have even meet online some of my DA favs, Alexiuss, Armando Huerta, Joe Jusko, Mike Deodato, Ed Benes and more).

I love this page, and make sure I'll make the 3000th pageview soon that you expect.

cheers all around and have a great New Year's Eve.
